FEBRUARY 3rd
Friday, February 3rd the First Friday Coffee House at the Northeast Harbor Library will be hosting an open mic night along with performing artists starting at 7PM until 8PM. Then, beginning at 8Pm will be Poetry Reading with Christian Barter. Once again, that date again is Friday, February 3rd.
FEBRUARY 3RD
One day only, from 8AM until 4PM on Friday February 3rd, the Dental Health Programs apart of UMA Bangor will be giving kids a smile. One day they will be giving away free dental care to children who do not have a dentist. The UMA in Bangor is located on 201 Texas Avenue. For any information, please contact 262-7870. Once again, that date is Friday, February 3rd.
FEBRUARY 4TH
The Hampden Kiwanis Club will hold it’s monthly Baked Bean Supper on Saturday, February 4th from 4:30 PM until 6:00 PM. This event will be at the Hampden Kiwanis Civic Center. Adults are $7.00 and Children eat for $4.00.

The Lucerne Inn is welcoming Legendary Story Teller Jin Weiss. He will be telling classic tales for all ages to hear. This event will take place on Saturday, February 4th from 1pm until 4pm.For information on purchasing tickets for the event, contact 667-3221. All proceeds go to benefit Emmas Dreams foundation.

A Benefit Bean Supper will be taking place at6 Ellsoworth Churches, hosted by St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 134 State Street Ellsworth from 3 until 6 PM. Donations are welcome to support the THAW (The Heating and Warmth Fund). This will take place on February 4th.

The Narraguagus Snowmobile Clubhouse on Ridge Road, Cherryfield Maine will be holding a public supper at 5:30PM. This Supper will be on Saturday, February 4th
FEBRUARY 4TH
The Brewer Community School of Performing Arts will be hosting musician Rick Charette. Tickets are $10.00 and are available at the Brewer High School. This event will be on Saturday February 4th and all proceeds go to sponsor the Brewer High School Project Graduation.

February 6th
The Healthy Maine Partnership will be hosting a free TIPS training session for alcohol training on Mondaym February 6th. This will be from 9AM until 1PM for servers and 1:30PM until 4:00PM for sellers. This will be at the Piscataquis Room at the Resource Center at Mayo regional Hospital. There is no cost for this training. Once again, this event is on February 6th.
BANGOR – The Bangor Water District would like to inform the public about the possibility of lead in their water. This lead does come from the water source, but from plumbing components within homes and businesses that may contain lead. If you have a potential lead contamination in your water, follow these precautions for your safety:
- Whenever water hasn’t been used in a few hours, run the water for two to three minutes before drinking it flush out lead.
- Use cold water for cooking and preparing baby formula
- Boiling water will NOT affect the concentration of lead in the water.
- Test your water for lead. Got to www.bangorwater.orgfor a list of labs offering tests, or call Page at 947-4519 ext 409.
- Get your child tested. Contact a local health department or health care provider.
- Look for alternative drinking sources pr treatment of water. Consider purchasing bottled water or a water filter.
- Replace plumbing fixtures that contain lead.

ONGOING - Does a parent, spouse, friend, or child over 18 depend on you for help with: bathing, feeding, dressing, shopping, medications, leaving the house? If so, you are a caregiver and you are invited to join the ongoing caregiver’s support group at Friendship Cottage.
The support group is free of charge and open to all caregivers of dependant adults in Hancock County. The group meets the first Friday of every month from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Caregiver Resource Center at Friendship Cottage.
Friendship Cottage is located at 118 Ellsworth Road (Route 172) in Blue Hill. On-site respite is available for dependant adults with prior arrangement. For information, call 374-5612.

ONGOING - PAWSibilities Gift Shop, a gift shop with thrift store prices is located in the Hobnobbers Restaurant building at 45 West Main Street in Milo. Many pretty, useful, and unique items from glassware, to collectibles to toys can be found in this shop open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10am to 2pm or by appointment.
